How to use the motor torque calculator:

The above tool requires the following data for calculation:

Motor-rated power in HP or kW. (Mandatory)
Rated speed of the motor. (Mandatory)

Calculation of motor torque when it is rated in kilowatts:

$Torque_(_N_._m_) =\frac{ 9549 \times P_k_W }{Rated-RPM}$

Calculation of motor torque when it is rated in horsepower:

$Torque_(_i_n_._l_b_) =\frac{ 63025 \times P_h_p}{Rated-RPM}$

$Torque_(_i_n_._f_t_) =\frac{ 5252 \times P_h_p}{Rated-RPM}$

Torque _N.m: Torque in Newton-meter.
P_kW : Power in kilowatts.
Torque _in.lb: Torque in Inch – pounds.
P_hp : Power in horsepower.
Torque _ft.lb: Torque in Feet – pounds.

Which one is correct the table or the calculator?

55kW drive in table @1500rpm gives 525.2Nm

55kW drive in calculator @1500rpm gives 350Nm

  Hello Mark, Perhaps you are referring to the wrong value. Anyways, there could be quite a small variation between the calculated value and those in the table.
